2014 Year of the American Muscle Car with MAX PAPIS RACING

I am super thrilled to announce to have signed with MAX PAPIS RACING to compete in the first two week ends of the Nascar Whelen Euro Series where I will compete in the OPEN Class.

I have been in talks for more than a year to go and test in the USA in the K&N Nascar Series so when I had the opportunity to race in the Nascar series back here in Europe I did not think twice.

The cars are all a V8 5.2 Lt engines with a output of 400HP in a 1200Kg chassis with a H 4 gearbox and no electronics birnig the driving back to the roots.

Is going to be a steep learning process for me as I have not driven with a H gearbox in the last 8 years and to drive a car that has very low aero and slow corner speeds means to modify my driving style from the Radical Sr8 that I drove in 2013.

The shoulder that I injured in 2009 will also be a issue as I have been having a few issues due to a Ski accident I had in Feb so I am training to get it back in shape for April and trying to be at the top of the form for my debout in Valencia.

I would have loved to test the car and get a better feeling with it before the start of the season but I rely on the great work MPR is going to do in the car to handle me the best machine of the lot.

Having a full American crew will ceretenley bring it's edge during the season and Max as a team principal will be a great help and teacher helping me close the gap as quickly as possible.

The hardest part will be to also work with my sponsors in order to cover the budget for the remaining 4 week ends in order to be able to leverage the hard work we will be doing over the season to bring our game at it's best.
