I will not go to any details of the race week end as what was already clear in Silverstone assumed the form of a real insult in Adria.
We made clear our car was way off the pace in Silverstone with tires that could not last 1hr race , while other cars with hard compound tires had no wear and could do the best laps at end of race, see Audi r8 in Silverstone.
We arrived in Adria asking for new tires and help from FIA and as a funny joke of destiny we got extra 20Kg!! We where supposed to lose weight and we got more.. no words for that and as expected not only we did not get the tires required ( they could not change them unless we killed ourselves as it would be unfair for the others that very fairly have tires that allow them to lap 2-3 seconds faster than us from mid race..) but we had even to hear that Michelin said the tires where fine ( really amazing would like to see the wear of the FORD the Morgan and Ferrari and compare it to ours ) and the FIA was saying that is was up to Michelin, while Michelin kept sending back the responsibility to the FIA, really professional management.
I have no words to comment such a damage of image without sponsors supporters and with all the people that are watching a race live in tv and have no idea of why the corvette's where so slow…! Believe the answer stands in some offices in France or England where ppl who had the time, 2 Balance of Performance tests, and the skills all professional Engineers to make the right decisions at the right time, decided to evirate the Corvette from the Fia GT3…!
If anyone has any doubt of how the Vette's where put in condition to compete, the best example stands in the Free practice 2 sheet, where is clear that with used tires NONE of the Corvettes can get closer than 2 seconds from the fastest cars, that did the time at end of session when Corvette's where hardly able to stay on track, but for Michelin it was normal usage.. nothing to worry about they said is the Fia that has to do something…
Well as usual in this occasions none did anything and we where forced to be humiliated by much slower drivers that where put in a really unfair advantage compared to us.
Hope things like this will not happen again as they only do bad to the sport and to the people that try and do the best to make it a fair game where the best wins.
Your very disappointed
