Nogaro Preview

Brno was less than a defeat for Luca and Jourgen as they where expecting that race as a turning point on a season where things did not go as expected but unfortunatley things happpend to go worst.

After an excellent free practice where the strong duo managed with the old tires to obtain the 5th time ( consider that last year Luca in free practice was only 18th and than in qualifying thanks to the set up and new tires started from first row) that would have meant that in qualifying the chanches of a double pole position where far from remote.
But a bad fitting of the new engine was hititng constantly on the cooling system strings that would have eventually broke sometime in the event, this happened before Luca did even one lap of qualifing relagating him and his teammate to watch all saturday qualifying sessions and race 1 and to start last in race 2 on sunday.

Race 2 prooved once more how good the duo is as they managed to recover from 42 on grid to 9th position and to almost end in the points, passing 30 and more cars in a championship like this is not easy thing. The must significant singal came from the lap times where Luca showed for all his stint regular 2 seconds faster pace than the winning car... wich tells you how things could and let me say should have gone!

Now we are at one week from Nogaro, twisty circuit where passing with the Ford new configurationis almost impossible and where all cars will be packed in a few tenths, let's see if some well deserved result will be obtained in this circuit unknown to luca.
